Who is RTM/What is RTM?

Road To Millions represents a lifestyle for anyone with ambition and goals. RTM isn't just about money but anything an individual desires to have plenty of. RTM is for the ones who have a dream and will do whatever it takes to make that dream a reality. RTM stands for those who continuously take losses but never give up because they know that if the road was easy, everybody would be successful. Many individuals associate the word "millions" with money however what if millions meant more than money?

Who Am I?

My name is Jay. I'm a young Black male who was born in Washington D.C. but raised in Prince Georges County, MD. I attended public school my entire life including college. I attended and graduated from Dr. Henry A, Wise Jr. High School in 2018. Upon graduation, I wasn't sure what I wanted to do but school was the last option on my list. However, life came fast, and I was dealt a deck of cards and only had two moves (1) find a decent job or (2) go to school. At the time I was working at Chipotle and knew that wasn't my future so I applied to Bowie State University as a Criminal Justice major and was accepted right before the deadline. I attended Bowie on multiple loans and scholarships that I gracefully was able to apply for due to my outstanding academics in High School. Fast forward four long years and I walked across the stage in 2022 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice.

College was challenging mentally. I was a commuter because I found it pointless to be paying thousands when it was only a 25-minute drive. College taught me many things, but time management and procrastination were two of the biggest lessons I learned while attending.

The neighborhood I grew up in wasn't the best but it wasn't the worst however I am thankful the environment I was raised in which may sound weird to some. However, any individual reading the story knows that your environment plays a major role in your upbringing. My upbringing taught me many things, but the number one thing was "hussle" because nothing was going to be GIVEN to you.

Why RTM?

Many ask what made me start a brand and that answer cannot be simply answered because the vision is so complex so each time someone ask I give a different answer. However, I can say that the vision I have is more than just money fueling it. Let me take you back, growing up I was always looking for the next dollar. When I was younger and couldn't get a legal job, I would love when the peak of each season came around because that meant money was to be made. I would shovel snow in the winter, rake leaves in the fall, and cut grass in the summer. Fast forward to High School I sold candy, drinks, soda, and honey buns. I would use the money I was getting from my job to support my business and I enjoyed that process even the parts where I had to avoid security in the hallway. During the summers of my late teen years after graduating I worked on cars, worked with my uncle, and washed cars just to name a few. I found myself always finding a different way to make some cash but enjoying the process of making it. Fast forward to 2023 after graduating college as I previously stated in late December of 2022, I was not eager to jump into the work force, my entire mindset on life had changed. I watched my parents struggle and they worked day in and day out but had very Little to show for it and im not talking primarily money but just life in general. This is what fueled me to becoming an entrepreneur and hopefully one day being able to say, "you have the option of putting in your two weeks at your job, I got you from now on".
